Have you seen this man before? His photographs are particularly popular with African scammers. If you have seen his photos on social networks or on dating sites, be sure that this is a fake account created by a dangerous Internet scammer with the goal of earning money!
Joe Cross (born May 30, 1966, in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian filmmaker, entrepreneur, and author best known for his groundbreaking documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead, which popularized juicing and plant-based nutrition worldwide. Before dedicating himself to health advocacy and film, he built a successful career in finance, working as a trader at the Sydney Futures Exchange and later managing investments in telecommunications, media, and technology companies.
By 2005, Cross weighed around 140 kilograms (310 pounds) and suffered from an autoimmune disease that required long-term medication. Determined to change his life, he committed to a juice-based diet and began documenting his journey. In 2010, he released Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead, which followed his 60-day road trip across the United States while consuming only freshly pressed juices. The film captured his remarkable transformation, as he lost weight, restored his health, and eliminated his reliance on medication.
The success of the documentary inspired millions around the world and led to further projects. In 2014, Cross released Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2, focusing on how to maintain long-term lifestyle changes, and in 2016 he produced The Kids Menu, a film highlighting the issue of childhood obesity and the importance of building healthy eating habits at a young age. Alongside his filmmaking, he founded the company Reboot with Joe, which provides resources and support for individuals seeking to adopt juicing and plant-based nutrition. Today, the Reboot community has grown to more than one million members worldwide.
In addition to his film work, Joe Cross is the author of several books, including the bestseller The Reboot with Joe Juice Diet: Lose Weight, Get Healthy and Feel Amazing (2014), as well as recipe collections and nutrition guides dedicated to juicing and wellness. His work has been featured in international media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The Times of London, and The Dr. Oz Show. To date, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead has been viewed by more than 20 million people globally, securing Joe Cross’s place as one of the most influential voices in modern health and nutrition.
