Alessandro Cinquini is a well known social media influencer on Instagram (alex_theofficer) with over 37.5K followers. He publish travel posts around the world while working for Carnival Cruise Lines as a first officer.

Cinquini gets a lot of messages from women who have been scammed by people using his photo. They create fake profiles on social media with pictures of Cinquini, creating a fake life, making many women fall in love with them and asking for money countless times until their bank accounts are drained. The scammers started using Cinquini’s photos when he had 10,000 followers on his Instagram account.

The scammers come up with different stories using Cinquini’s photos, but most of them are related to the fact that he allegedly served in the army and was drafted abroad in Iraq.
